• I come from a strong faith-filled Catholic home in Karachi Pakistan where I attended an all-girls convent school that provided me with solid Catholic values.

  • Religious persecution of Christians precipitated my family to move to Canada.  Enduring countless hardships as new immigrants made us stronger and resilient, which led me to become an active community builder, volunteer, and social and environmental champion.

  • I work hard to be the voice for the voiceless. It is my dream to ignite the fire in our students to become actively engaged in social justice issues. Advocating for marginalized populations is what truly nourishes my soul.

  • I am a proud mother of two children who attended Catholic Schools.

  • I am compassionate & committed to making meaningful and lasting shifts in society through education for our next generation.

  • Living & volunteering in 23 countries, & being exposed to various educational systems has ignited my commitment to ensuring our students have quality education. Thus setting them up to succeed globally, be God-loving, and responsible stewards of this planet.

  • Selected to represent Canada at the United Nations on Human Rights.

  • Selected as Peace Ambassador and traveled for one year to five countries.

  • Multi-lingual (Urdu, Hindi, Spanish, German)

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. Love never fails, (1 Corinthians 13)

Having served on the Board of the Calgary Urban Aboriginal Initiative for seven years and my close connection with the indigenous community, this day was extra special to me. Such a joy to present our indigenous students with their graduation certificates and give a speech on this very auspicious day.
